Writing the Crazy Wisdom Way
a) June 6–July 10, 2008
b) September 20–October 6, 2008
Inside each of us lies a wisdom that is dynamic, curious, unbounded, and infused with energy. This “crazy wisdom” is built of multiple perspectives, irreverence, paradox, and a love of the absurd. It is the wisdom of the mythic realm. It is the awareness of the dream state, where everything makes sense—until you wake up and your logical brain takes over.
In this six-week workshop, you will learn techniques to help you access the crazy wisdom that is already inside you, and open your writing to a surprising, out-of-the ordinary creativity. For more information or to register, email Writing the Whirlwind
Integral Writing: Engaging the Body in Writing Practice
May 3–June 6
(excluding Memorial Day weekend)
The body is a source of great, often untapped, wisdom. Yet, many writers work from their heads, neglecting the natural creativity of the body. Connecting our writing with our bodies—our hands and feet, stomachs and lungs, blood and bones—through movement and meditative awareness can allow us to tap into memory, access emotion, and open up tremendous power, creativity, and wholeness in our work.
Integral Writing is a method for engaging the wisdom of our bodies as we create poems and stories.
